       Most electrical applications use standard AC motors. The starting of such motors causes currents of up to 8 times full load current to be drawn. This dramatic current drawn will affect the line voltage and distrub other electronic equiments. Serveral method are used to decrease the starting current. Such as Star-Delta starter, Autotransformers can used to decrease the starting current. However, programming of the starting current and voltage are very difficult by using those method, and sometimes starting current and starting torque cannot be satifactory at the same time. The speed control of AC-motor is very difficult in the pass. Only DC-motor can have acurate speed control. Stopping a motor is also a major problem in the pass, mechanic brake are use to stop a motor.
