BRAKETRON Dynamic Electronic Motor Brakes
Braketron is designed to stop an AC motor quickly and safely without motor winding damage. Although not a "holding" brake, its obvious advantage over mechanical brakes is that Braketown has no moving parts that wear or must be maintained and replaced regularly. It is vitually maintenance free and replace regularly. It is virtually maintenace free and built for continuous use applications. In applications where a mechanical "holding" brake is not required, a standard AC motor can be used in conjunction with Braketron. This provides for more reliable operation and less expensive "down time" caused by mechanical brake failure. Braketron eliminates costly operator "idle time" during motor coast-down and helps equipment comply with OSHA safety requirements for motor stopping. Braketron is ideally suited for use in the textile, furniture, lumber, metal-working, and materials processing industries for improving safety and cutting production time.
